The Extreme series from ASRock has always been characterised by two things mostly: a better and more challenging price and its blue colour, and both of these features have been truly represented with this motherboard.
The 400 A power delivery section for the VCore will let you thinker with any Ryzen 3rd generation CPU without any worries.
From an overclocking and performance point of view, we used the new bios version 1.0.0.3 ABBA, released to address the boosting problem observed with the current BIOS: it allowed R7 3800X better clock stability, compared to our testes with the Phantom Gaming X, boosting our CPU, without any manual modification, up to 4.55 GHz, despite being a 4.5 GHz boost clock CPU.
We will wait, though, for a better maturity of the platform for specified and extended testes on overclocking itself.
