Tutti i nostri test sono stati eseguiti con XMP attivo e con tutte le impostazioni su Auto; nel caso di AMD X670E, l’opzione per il Resizable BAR (chiamato AMD Smart Access Memory sulle piattaforme della casa di Sunnyvale) è attiva di default, mentre su Z690 e X570 è disattivata di default. Su Z790, invece, è attiva proprio come su X670E, pertanto abbiamo deciso di lasciare la decisione di attivare o meno l’opzione alla piattaforma, per meglio rispecchiare il comportamento “out-of-the-box” (ovvero così come uscito dalla scatola) delle componenti testate.
NDR: visto che si tratta della nostra prima recensione di schede madri basate sul nuovo socket AM5 e con la nuova batteria di test, paragoneremo i risultati ottenuti di questa piattaforma con quanto rilevato sul 12900K su Z690. Le componenti rimangono le stesse su entrambe le piattaforme, eccezion fatta per le soluzioni di storage utilizzate per testare i controller a bordo. Dalla prossima recensione su X670E, paragoneremo le schede esclusivamente se appartenenti alla stessa piattaforma.
