Intel, con il rilascio dei chipset Z87 nel Marzo 2013, ha sviluppato un’applicazione compatibile con i chipset serie 6, 7, 8 e 9, partendo da P67 fino ad arrivare a X99 e Z97. XTU (Xtreme Tuning Utility) si basa sulle librerie AVX 2.0 che sfruttano ogni singolo transistor del processore, stressando in modo assurdo e intensivo la CPU e dando un quadro generico della stabilità e delle prestazioni, e con l’ultima versione l’utility è compatibile con X99:
